These days, engineers at Shenzhen Laser Group Co., Ltd.'s production workshop are busy debugging new embroidery machines. "These two 66-head modular high-speed machines were ordered by a client in Shantou, Guangdong. After another round of debugging, they'll be shipped," said chief engineer Wei Bing Zeng.
The modular high-speed machine Wei Bing Zeng mentioned is a new high-speed embroidery machine recently put into production by Shenzhen Laser. Its speed can be stably maintained at 1200 rpm for extended periods, 20% more efficient than ordinary embroidery machines, placing it at the forefront of the industry. It is understood that the fastest embroidery machines currently on the market can stably maintain a speed of around 1000 rpm for extended periods. To achieve this 20% increase, Shenzhen Laser spent more than four years and invested nearly 10 million yuan in R&D for the modular high-speed machine project. "Traditional embroidery machines have shafts connected to the heads, and the needle bar, presser foot, and thread-picking mechanism in each head are linked for operation. When the speed is increased to 1200 rpm, the machine body will resonate, and within a week, the parts will begin to wear severely. Finally, we found the optimal speed-up solution," Wei Bing Zeng explained that the new high-speed machine uses a modular design, separating each embroidery head independently, not only solving the problem of part wear after speed increase but also reducing production and maintenance costs.
A year ago, Shenzhen Laser sent five 20-head and 30-head high-speed machines to clients' factories in Guangdong, Shandong, Shaoxing, and other places for trial use. After a year of production and debugging, the technology of the modular high-speed machine has become mature and stable, and its production efficiency has been recognized by clients.
As early as 2014, Huang Sheng Hua, chairman of Shenzhen Laser Group Co., Ltd., realized that the embroidery machine industry suffered from serious product homogeneity, and only by creating unique products could competitiveness be enhanced. Therefore, for four years, Shenzhen Laser invested heavily in introducing talent and conducting technological research and development. "What does a 20% speed increase mean? The production volume of six machines before can now be achieved with only five," Huang Sheng Hua believes that the embroidery industry will face increasing pressure on labor, space, and energy costs in the future, and the speed increase of embroidery machines can effectively alleviate this pressure for manufacturers, saving not only the cost of purchasing machines but also factory space, labor, and electricity consumption.
Shenzhen Laser's modular high-speed machine has attracted considerable attention in the industry, with many clients from Guangdong, Shandong, Henan, and other places visiting for inspection. In October alone, more than 10 orders have been received. Wei Bing Zeng told reporters that the next step will focus on debugging the 90-head modular high-speed machine.
